Why most people don't see progress in the gym

Do you know why most people don't see progress in the gym?

There are actually a few factors that contribute but one is because they don't have a plan.

So many people walk in, do random things and then leave.  Or they maybe have a little plan but they are not tracking their progress.  If you don't have a plan, how do you know if you're progressing? Or getting stronger? How do you challenge yourself when you don't know what you did the time before?

A structured strategic plan can help you succeed in the gym, but without one, you're not going to see much progress or it's going to be slow for sure.

You need to keep track of the exercises you're performing, how many reps, sets and the weight.  You can't go by feeling because some days you feel strong and some you don't.  Some days it's easy to push through and some days it isn't.  With a plan you can see what your weights are and then start increasing them or your reps over time to keep pushing and moving forward.

If you have no idea what a basic gym plan would even look like, come talk to Dave and I.  This is where we can help come up with a plan that matches the goals you are trying to achieve.

We'll talk more on some of the other factors but starting with a basic plan is a good place to start.  Track your weights, reps and sets and start increasing them, then watch your progress take off.
